Day 5 (December 14): Ventura County & California Specialties
Day 6 (December 15): Channel Island National Park (for Island Scrub-Jay, etc.)
Day 7 (December 16): Fly home in the morning!

Day 1: Land in Portland, Maine
Day 2: Look for birds locally in Portland, then drive towards Bar Harbor Area
Day 3: Acadia NP/Puffin Tour
Day 4: Drive towards Boreal Forests, look for some of these species during the afternoon/evening
Day 5: Mt. Washington & clean up boreal forest species
Day 6: Fly back this day from Portland, Maine

- Coastal towns of Santana, Seixal, Porto Moniz -- beach/rock pool depending on interest
- Birding the south coast/waterfall search
- Settle in Funchal & traditional dinner with local wine/poncha
- Breakfast/brunch
- Explore the city/shop
- Historical Monte Palace Gardens
- Local Toboggan ride
- Potential afternoon options: Canyoning, Wine Tour, Cooking Class, or relaxing/shopping
- Breakfast/morning exploration of the town
- Get aboard small yacht I have arranged
- Seabirding!!! Search for: White-faced & Madeiran (Band-rumped) Storm-Petrels, Zino's/Desertas Petrel, many more!
- Night at Porto Santo
- 98-99% Solar Eclipse viewing experience off of Porto Santo in the morning
- Continue seabirding between Porto Santo and Madeira
- Evening sunset hike (after dinner) at Pico Ruivo
