On this trip, we will target the boreal forest species that call this cold region home during the winter. We will focus on grouses and owls, finches, and other boreal forest specialties including Black-backed and American three-toed Woodpeckers, Boreal Chickadee, Canada Jay and many more.

Would you like to escape the winter weather in January 2026? Perhaps tag along for this amazing trip! There are many birds to see in the southern half of Florida in the winter. Of course there are many coastal species to see (and beaches to check out, mostly for birds though), but there is so much more to see! Between the many range restricted southeastern species, Caribbean rarities, and of course many exotic species, there is such a small chance any participant will not add at least one new life bird! Come escape the cold weather and see around 175 species in December while staying in the country! Expected trip total: ~175 species
