Day 1 (December 10): Land in LA, bird in Orange County and drive south
Day 2 (December 11): Coastal San Diego, exotics, rural San Diego County
Day 3 (December 12): Salton Sea & Joshua Tree National Park
Day 4 (December 13): San Bernadino County & LA Exotics
Day 5 (December 14): Ventura County & California Specialties
Day 6 (December 15): Channel Island National Park (for Island Scrub-Jay, etc.)
Day 7 (December 16): Fly home in the morning!

Main focus: Photography and Costa Rica specific species in a 'quick' trip

Day 1 (December 30th): Fly into San Jose, potentially birding around the lodge grounds
Day 2 (December 31st): Pacific Dry Lowland species, Tarcoles River Boat Tour, owling
Day 3 (January 1st): Esquipulas Rainforest Lodge in AM, Cuidad Neily rice fields in afternoon
Day 4 (January 2nd): Full day in Osa Peninsula
Day 5 (January 3rd): Osa Peninsula, Pacific Coast foothills up to Talamanca Highlands
Day 6 (January 4th): Talamanca Highlands/Parque Nacional Quetzales
Day 7 (January 5th) Leave Talamanca Highlands and drive to Hotel Quelitales
Day 8 (January 6th): Full morning at Hotel Quelitales, Caribbean Foothills, then to San Jose
Day 9 (January 7th): Fly out of San Jose
